RARE GUTENBERG BIBLE NEW TESTAMENT AT INDIANA UNIVERSITY’S LILLY LIBRARY
A rare New Testament portion of a Gutenberg Bible, the first major book produced in Europe, resides at Indiana University’s Lilly Library in Bloomington, Ind. Printed in the 1450s, this historic volume represents the beginning of the printed word in Western Europe and is one of approximately 48 copies still existing worldwide.
